Mothers Painting on Bereaved Mother’s Day
Virtual Event
International Bereaved Mother’s Day is intended to be a temporary holiday — in hopes for all hurting mothers to eventually become a part of Mother’s Day.
May 3, 2020, is International Mother’s Day – a day to honor the many women who may have experienced the death of a baby or babies, or even of adult children. They may have struggled to become pregnant or had a miscarriage or stillbirth. For them, the day may bring sad feelings—feelings of isolation, loneliness, unworthiness, and pain.
Kennedy’s Angel Gowns invites bereaved mothers for a special afternoon together. Share stories, be encouraged, and meet a new friend while painting a piece of pottery.
Make Something Studio is accepting online orders for a To Go Kit to purchase a project to paint. Curbside pickup is Saturday, May 2. The studio will donate a small percent of the proceeds to Kennedy’s Angel Gowns.
If you need a kit to be shipped, please order by Wednesday, Apil 29. Just choose pickup and they will send an additional invoice for shipping costs ($8-$13 depending on the weight of items). Contact the studio for two cross items that are not listed on the website (cross plaque $16, standing cross $22).
Online tickets have been updated to offer “Paint Project” so we can send you a link to purchase a project to paint. Moms can also opt for the “Virtual Meetup” only. A link to join the online meeting will be sent to all Eventbrite attendees only.
