We are still trying to come up with the words to express our sincere thanks for the outcome of Give Local 757™. 2020 was our first year participating, and your donations ranked Kennedy’s Angel Gowns in the top 10 non-profits. Incredible! We raised a total of $22,000 and were awarded $757 for the “Notable Newcomer Challenge” and $757 for the “Nifty 50 Challenge”.
Our small non-profit started with our founder helping families experiencing something she and her family had gone through. Never did we imagine so many people would be as passionate about Kennedy’s Angel Gowns.
We called out for action, and you showed up and showed out! Kennedy’s Angel Gowns is literally able to give bereaved families the gift of time with a Caring Cradle or Cuddle Cot™ at their local hospital. You can’t put a price tag on that.
Thank you, Peninsula Community Foundation, Bank of America, and 13 News Now for this fantastic day of giving. Our heartfelt thanks to those who believed in us, donated, shared and liked our videos, tagged a person, posted selfies, and cheered us on. Thank You!
To the young ladies who bravely shared their stories. You have no idea how many people you just helped through the #bravethroughgrief series. To our incredible Board of Directors who cheered us on from the sidelines and sent play-by-play updates. To our IT tech phenom, Bettie for creating graphics at a second’s notice and filming and editing all of our #bravethroughgrief stories. You’re amazing! To the town of Ahoskie, North Carolina, for being a community that pulls together and supports us—we saw your selfies and donations. We can’t thank you enough!
Let’s keep up this energy and continue to support our pregnancy and infant loss community! If you haven’t already, please subscribe to our website to stay up to date on the strides that Kennedy’s Angel Gowns is making. We love you, and again, we thank you for your continued support!
We will purchase a cooling device for a local hospital in Hampton Roads, Virginia with the money raised. This device gives bereaved parents the gift of time—more time to spend with their infant before burial. Pregnancy and infant loss are devastating enough to endure; a cooling unit helps bring comfort and closure.
