PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND — Kennedy’s Angel Gowns donated and dedicated an Amish Cenotaph Cradle to Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island on April 28, 2022.
Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, a Care New England hospital, is one of the nation’s leading specialty hospitals for women and newborns. They are the major teaching affiliate of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and the 9th largest stand-alone obstetrical service in the country with approximately 8,500 deliveries per year.
Every cooling unit donated by Kennedy’s Angel Gowns includes a dedication (to an “angel baby”), but this one was very special to our founder Heather Wilson because it was in her home state of Rhode Island. The Cenotaph Cradle was dedicated to Wilson’s daughter Kennedy Milan who was stillborn on August 17, 2009.
Wilson shared, “There’s no place like home. And today Kennedy got to make an impact on the city her mommy grew up in. Truly a full-circle moment. Thank you to all of the staff at Women & Infants Hospital that took the time to participate in the dedication ceremony and for all the support you offer patients going through the loss of a child.”
